It's very simple--there are actually only 2 steps! Go to the "Buy Rights" page. First you must click the "Order Rights" button. Just select the plays you wish to produce and you will check out through PayPal (be sure to adjust the quantity value to match the number of performances!). For the second step, click the "Get License" button (this button is located just below the "Order Rights" button on the same page), fill in the required information and hit submit! That's all!
Do I need a PayPal account to purchase performance rights from this website?
Nope, you can simply choose PayPal's "Pay as Guest" option when checking out.
When completing the "Get License" form, simply enter "TBD" in the field for performance dates. We will issue your license without a specific date. It is your responsibility to follow up with us again after you decide on performance dates so we can update your license. This must be done at least seven (7) days prior to your performances of the plays.
Absolutely. Sometimes extenuating circumstances arise that may force you to reschedule your shows. In that case, just let us know at least 24 hours before your first scheduled performance. Performance dates may be pushed back for up to 24 months from when the license fee payment was received. After that requires purchasing of the license again.
You are free to make copies of the script(s) for use by the cast and crew. You are not, however, permitted to repost the script(s) anywhere or resell them.
Sure! Go for it! Getting money from doing something you love is the best money, right?
Yes. You must pay a royalty/license fee for every time the play is performed, regardless of whether or not you are charging admission.

Yes. You are allowed to record the performance(s) for cast and crew's personal copies / demo reels / etc. You are not permitted to record the performances for distribution or sales of any means.
Sure. Please be sure to include the author(s) name(s) and remember you are not allowed to monetize ANY recordings of the performance(s).
Depending on your card type, either COFFINHOUSE or COFFINHOUSEPUBLISH will appear on your statement.
Click the "Printable Version" button located beneath the title of each of the plays. It will open a PDF version of the script that is better suited for printing.
No. Unlike some other publishing companies, Coffin House Publishing does not require you to pay a royalty for a FREE dress rehearsal / tech run. Keep in mind that we consider a dress rehearsal to be free, small (i.e. cast and crew's families, friends, etc), and unlisted. If you are charging admission or performing your "dress rehearsal" to a packed audience then you better be paying your license fee! ;-)
